Further to a comment on the previous post, here’s another Aardman classic…
Nicely done 🙂
This animation – Gulp is the world’s largest stop-motion animation shot on a Nokia N8 using its 12 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics. The film has broken a world record for the ‘largest stop-motion animation set’, with the largest scene stretching over 11,000 square feet…

I am not a dancer, nor can I draw as well as this, but this piece is really beautifully put together… lovely animation and movement. So simply drawn yet very lifelike.
Looking forward to when his sketches go on sale as I wouldn’t mind purchasing a couple. Here’s a link to his website…
Company responsible for many familiar TV idents seen on television channels today (E4, Sky, Five).
I particularly like the TV ‘mini people’ idents which use a similar idea as the mini people in the Slinkachu art project
Really cool animation featuring some retro pixel monsters in my favourite city…

Found this site randomly whilst reading an article about Diaspora* an Open Source Anti facebook project that is set to take off summer 2010. The 4 people behind Diaspora have used Kickstarter to fund their project and so far its proved a huge success for them.
Overall, it just looks like a cool site for creative types where you can ‘kickstart’ your project, get ideas and inspiration as well as possible funding if your idea has legs…
I came across this website the other day. The website itself is pretty poor but their timelapse photography reel is frickin awesome. They have taken shots of L.A. (where they are based) and other places and put them together meticulously in a movie. Their latest news says they are being used by Warner Bros. Rightly so, as their work is amazing!
They’ve used really nice music as well, I think from the film ‘Gattaca’. It makes the showreel seem strangely melancholy and beautiful. Amazing to think just a sequence of photos can do that… well done!
I had a flight of fancy last week and booked a holiday to NYC for myself and friend in October. I cannot wait as its my first time in the Big Apple. In the past few days I have been adding lots of sites I’ve come across relating to New York.
Comments welcome on sights to see, things to do. I want to experience as much of the ‘real’ New York as I can in 5 days!
However one of the main things I am really looking forward to is the unique, historic – budget, yet chic hotel we will be staying in. I saw it, loved it and set my heart on staying there. It’s truly inspirational! Will definately be memorable! Its got a really funky little website too which is really retro.
