More client feedback from hell…

Following on from a previous post I did a while back, I have been steadily collecting these as and when I see them as all of them ring true in so many ways in my career as a designer. More so of late in the world of ‘Brand Marketing’ where everyone has a say in how you do your job. I believe a lot of these posters were created as part of a project in Ireland where Illustrators, Designers and Photographers collated their worst client feedback into an exhibition. Proceeds from the sales of these posters went to Temple Street Children’s hospital.

So, I thought I would collate them in one post as they are worth sharing.

Dove viral campaign becomes the most watched ad ever…

Saw this today and wasn’t 100% sure if it was for real or if it was a parody, but then it occurred to me I’d seen something similar recently which was.

The first video is the genuine article, a reminder that we are more beautiful than we think we are. A good lesson in this world of body image and how we perceive ourselves. The other videos… well they are just for fun! 🙂

M&M’s Space Heroes Interactive web game

M&M’s are doing something a little different over in Denmark, utilising Bookmarklets (little Javascript apps that are launched from a bookmark) to help turn every website in the world, into part of the M&M’s “Space Heroes” internet invasion game.

Essentially, you go to the M&M’s “Space Heroes” website to get the Bookmarklet (just drag the spaceship into your bookmark bar) then jump onto any site you like… click on the Bookmark in your browser bar, and you’re in the game! Very clever and I have no idea how it works but its fun to see how the Bookmarklet interacts with your screen.

New ‘updated’ version of the Monopoly Board

Not sure how true this is or if its just a spoof for the internet, but apparently Hasbro have released a modern version of the Monopoly Board which reflects the modern high street of the UK. I personally think its a spoof by the Huffington Post but it was amusing none-the-less…
